Our Process

Our Staircase Process

Our Insitu Concrete Staircase Process from Design and Manufacturing to Installation

When choosing Iconic Stairs, you can be assured of our great customer service and attention to detail while always keeping you up to date on all progress as the project moves forward.

Stage 1

Consultation

The initial stage of our process is a consultation to discuss your stair thoughts and overall Style. Which will include deciding the correct material for your main stair structure. When we reach an understanding of your needs we will share our ideas and advise on the endless possibilities we can offer along with costings for your project. This maybe the initial stair structure or the complete finished stair including the balustrade, handrails and stair covering.

Stage 2

Site survey & design

It would be impossible to achieve our exceptional results without the most sophisticated measuring technology when we undertake our Digital site survey. Following our survey, the in-house design team bring to life your ideas with 2D and 3D drawings using a combination of Auto-Cad and solid works.

Stage 3

Review & sign off

All drawings and relevant information are sent to the project manager, architect etc. for review and comments.  All comments are explored, and changes will be made if required. Our staircase projects will only move forward to the engineer’s design process when all parties are satisfied.

Stage 4

Engineers design

Depending on the project level undertaken, our appointed structural engineers will work on the design drawings completing all analysis and calculations needed. Giving you peace of mind that your staircase is up to building control standard with all relevant paperwork.

Stage 5

Production

Our skilled tradesmen will complete a large majority of the project in our workshop using a combination of handcrafting and the use of CNC machinery to work towards the installation stage.

Stage 6

Site installation

Whether we are setting up form work for concrete staircases, craning in finished solid stone steps or fitting balustrades. you can be confident that the prior stages will have been thought out and completed to the highest of standards, leaving the onsite installation one of the most fluent parts of the project.
