Curved Insitu Concrete Stair
We were contacted at a late stage of the renovation to create a curved insitu concrete stair along with the marble cladding and glass balustrade. The client had given us some photos for the design and asked us to replicate it, so off we went and did just that. This project was by no means straightforward as most of the internal walls was timber and landings where completed from timber studding and joisting, not the greatest material for a 3 Ton concrete stair to rest onto. Working closely with our structural engineer we managed the task of being able to successfully design the stairs to rest onto a steel cantilevered beam. The concrete stairs complete, next came the challenge of fitting the heavy glass balustrade and steel handrails at first floor level, again taking time to work out the design we were able to complete this giving the client the look they envisaged.
